Your neck exercise does not have to be a pain in the neck

When you incorporate neck exercise into your fitness program, obviously you do not have the same goals for this area as the rest of your body. The benefits of doing neck exercise, however, are similar to your overall goals; you are creating a healthier version of yourself. Such exercises can help prevent injury and ailments, such as tension headaches.

You can find neck exercise online or you can send away for special booklets with great exercises. As well, you can talk to your doctor or physiotherapist, which you should definitely do if you are suffering from whiplash. Stretching these muscles can help you with the rest of your workout and relieve tension.

Your neck exercise can be simple stretching routines that simply loosen the muscles and make you more flexible both during and after your workout. Yoga and Pilates routines offer some great exercises that you can combine with breathing to enhance your program. It is best to stretch your entire body before and after a workout and your neck is a great place to begin.
